But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles;
they shall run and not be weary;
and they shall walk and not faint.
(Isaiah 40:31)
The implications of these statements are interesting:
They that don't wait upon the Lord shall diminish their strength;
they shall be grounded unable to fly;
they shall run and be weary;
in fact, when they walk they will faint.
So here is a brilliant reason to wait on the Lord: because we won't get anywhere otherwise - no matter how hard we try.
